Building Survey (RICS Level 3) – can be utilised where a building has undergone significant alteration, change of use (or is subject to a proposed change of use), listed buildings, older buildings, buildings with non standard construction or those buildings which are to be subject to extensive renovation or alteration.

This type of survey is the most comprehensive non-specialised survey that is available for residential properties and will provide you with a detailed evaluation of a property’s condition and construction.

The scope of the survey includes;  all visible and accessible parts of a building, including roofs, walls, floors, windows and doors, chimneys, cellars, garages and outbuildings.

The survey will not open up sealed parts of the building or conduct intrusive investigations.

The Building Survey Report will describe the condition of each element of the building and identify the property’s defects, the apparent cause, the urgency of repair and possible maintenance options.
